Payment options

Vet financing and payment plans

Unexpected vet bills happen. We work with two financing partners, Cherry and CareCredit, so cost does not get in the way of care for your animal.

Two ways to pay over time

Cherry is our first choice. CareCredit is another good option, especially for larger bills.

Our first choice

Cherry

Cherry lets you split the cost of care into monthly payments. Dr. Kester recommends trying Cherry first because it accepts more of our clients and often offers better terms.

Another option

CareCredit

CareCredit is a health care credit card you can use for veterinary bills. It suits longer payment plans and larger bills.

How vet financing works

Both Cherry and CareCredit let you pay for care in monthly payments instead of all at once. You apply, the company tells you how much you are approved for and on what terms, and you use it to pay your bill with us. Then you pay them back over time.

Dr. Kester recommends trying Cherry first. In our experience it accepts more of our clients and often offers better terms. CareCredit is a health care credit card that works well for longer plans and larger bills.

Apply before you need it

The best time to apply is on a calm day, not in the middle of an emergency. Knowing your options ahead of time means cost will not slow down care when your animal needs it. Read our emergency care guide so you know where to go after hours, too.

What financing can cover

You can use financing for the care we give your animal, from a sick visit to surgery or an emergency at our Ft. Gibson hospital. Each company sets its own approval rules, payment terms and interest, so read the terms before you agree to a plan. If you have questions about how a plan works, the company you apply with can answer them.

How to apply

CareCredit has an online application you can fill out at any time. For Cherry, ask our front desk for the application link when you call. If you are not sure which one fits your situation, call us and we will walk you through the choice.

Questions about a bill

Before we run a test or start a treatment, we tell you what it is for and what it costs. If something is not clear, ask. We would rather talk it through on the phone than have you worry about it.

Questions about cost

It depends on your animal and what they need. We are happy to talk through likely costs on the phone, and we explain what each test or treatment is for before we do it. You decide on the plan with the cost in front of you.
